They say the darndest things

Yesterday, Blake and I were trying to navigate the insanity which is the Target parking lot. AGH! As I tried to turn onto a new aisle, a car came speeding by in front of me and honked heartily. Granted, I hadn’t seen her and was close to turning into her. But, the full blown look of anger on her face (and the expressions that her hand made) seemed dispropotionate with my offense (why are people so angry?!).

Sorrrryyyyy!” I said out loud, and probably with some sarcasm.

“What happened?” Blake asked.

“Well, Mommy didn’t see that car coming and she honked at me so that I wouldn’t run into her.”

“And you said ‘sorry’?”

“Yes, I did.”

“That didn’t sound like sorry.”

Huh.
